Christian Education

Godly Play for children ages four through second grade, meets at 9 a.m. during the school year. This Montessori-based program affirms children’s spirituality and gives them the vocabulary to name and explore their relationship with God. It is widely used in the Episcopal Church, and has the power to transform families and congregations.

Older Elementary-aged Children also meet at 9 a.m. for a thematic study of various interesting subjects offered in an engaging and interactive style that includes computer work, music, art and drama.

Confirm not Conform is the program for Middle and younger High School youth. This innovative new program was developed in a California parish and has been field tested nationwide. Youth will know that their beliefs and opinions are valued in the congregation, while they explore the foundations of what it means to be an Episcopalian. A special service in the spring will celebrate all participants, and those who choose to be confirmed will be prepared for the next visit from the Bishop.

Older High School Youth have active ministries in worship, service and community life.
