Outreach Opportunities

Lunches for the Homeless

Mark your calendars now for the 2011 schedule for making lunches for the homeless. St. Andrew’s ministry in support of the Arlington Street Peoples’ Assistance Network (ASPAN) will continue in 2011. We have been scheduled on the following dates. Plan to come to the kitchen at 4 pm on these days:

Saturdays: March 26, April 23, May 28, June 25, July 30, September 24, October 22, November 26; Thursday, December 29.

All ages are welcomed! This is a results ministry – the fruits of our efforts are in the hands of those in need within 2 hours of our preparation. Questions on this ministry can be directed to Priscilla Carey at carey4041@verizon.net.

 

AFAC Non-Perishable Food Collection

Each Sunday contributions of non-perishable food are brought forward at the Offertory and blessed before they are taken to AFAC. Needs are great in Arlington for food assistance and our part is to contribute something of our bounty to help feed the hungry. Please remember to bring something for the food basket this week. The baskets are located in the Narthex at the back of the church and at the side entrance from the Lounge.
