Directions
Arlington can be a
very confusing place to drive around in, even for those of us who
live here, so here are a map and some directions to help you find
us. St. Andrew's Church is located at the corner of Military Road
and Lorcom Lane, just off of Lee Highway. There is ample parking
in the lot behind the church, and there is also street parking on
Sundays.
FROM I-66 EAST (i.e., inbound toward D.C.): Take Exit 71 (Glebe
Rd./Fairfax Dr.). This will put you onto Fairfax Drive (you can
only go one way). Take Fairfax Dr. to Quincy Street. If you are
counting stop lights, start counting as you get off 66: Quincy
will be the intersection at the 7th stop light. You will also see
a sign for the Arlington Funeral Home. Turn left onto Quincy. Stay
on Quincy until you see St. Andrew's Episcopal church on your left
(see "From Washington Blvd.," below, for more details).
FROM I-66 WEST (i.e., from D.C.) take Exit 78 onto Lee Highway /
Rt. 29. Turn right onto Lee Highway (West). Follow Lee Highway for
about two miles. When you pass the Safeway on the right, look for
the 7-11 store. After the 7-11 and the gas station, turn right at
the traffic light onto Military Road. St. Andrew's is on the left
at the first traffic light. If you miss this light and pass the
Exxon station, go to the next light, which will be Lorcom Lane.
Turn right. St. Andrew's will be on your right after the big bend
in the road.
FROM WASHINGTON BLVD.: Westbound (from Rosslyn), turn right onto
Quincy Street. This is the light at Washington and Lee Highschool.
At the light where you cross Lee Highway (Brown's Honda on your
right) the road will become Military Rd.: don't worry about this.
St. Andrew's will be at the top of the hill on the left. From
Wash. Blvd. Eastbound (from Falls Church) turn left onto Quincy
Street and follow the directions above.
FROM LEE HIGHWAY: Westbound (from Rosslyn), turn right onto
Military Road (see the detail in the I-66 West directions). St.
Andrew's will be on your left at the top of the hill, at the first
traffic light. Eastbound, turn left onto Lorcom Lane. St. Andrew's
is on the right, just before the first traffic light.
